Anne Foley – President
Anne is in her 3rd year as an Orion parent. Her son is currently a junior. While her day job is in corporate finance, she enjoys volunteering at her kids’ schools and at Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in the adoptions department. She lives in Concord with her husband Brendan, two sons and dogs Zoe and Oliver. When she’s not working or volunteering, you will find her spending time with her family, reading, practicing yoga, enjoying sunsets and taking her dogs for long walks.
Linda Owczarz – Vice President
Linda’s son, enjoying his newfound community at Orion, is entering his 2nd year there. She lives with her husband Marcin, her son, and their beloved dog, Jewel. She’s a former landscaper, and while leaving her career to spend more time with her family, she volunteers for various organizations including advocating for students with disabilities, in public school classrooms and fundraising committees, and currently in her son’s scout troop. She is an avid plant enthusiast and enjoys hiking & camping, sci-fi, and having in-depth conversations with her son regarding his interests and goals in life.
Christine Kantor – Secretary
She and husband Jonathan have a son who is a junior at Orion and a daughter at Olin College of Engineering. Her interests run broad and deep led by a passion for turning disadvantage to advantage which led to a successful career within tech startups. When she’s not helping schools, mentoring parents for Support for Families or volunteering with other organizations, she can be found golfing with her friends and family, practicing martial arts with her son or attending lectures.
Linda Fazzio – Treasurer
Linda is in her third year at Orion. Her son is a junior. Her background is in corporate finance. Until recently, she volunteered with the Pleasanton USD Special Needs Committee. Linda also enjoys volunteering and working with teens at her church. She lives in Pleasanton with her husband, Mike, their son and their pets: a golden retriever named Piper and a black and white cat named Domino. In her spare time, Linda enjoys hiking with her dog, working on her Bonsai trees, reading and knitting.
Heather Padgette – Member-at-large
Heather Clapp Padgette’s son is currently a sophomore at Orion. Heather, her husband Rob, two sons and their border collie, Hayley, moved from the Washington DC area to Alameda in late 2017. Heather consults in the field of education reform and policy, and works with school districts, foundations, nonprofits and state and federal government agencies. She is currently serving as co-chair of the Alameda Special Education Family Support Group. She is very excited to get to know more Orion families, to learn more about local resources and supports for families, and to help support the school.
