Orion Academy provides a quality college-preparatory program for secondary students whose academic success is compromised by a neurocognitive disability such as Asperger's syndrome, or NLD (Non-verbal Learning Disorder).
Orion students are bright young people whose potential for success in the world is often unrealized as a result of their disorders. As a group, these students suffer profound difficulty with information processing and integration. This, coupled with significant social skill problems, often makes it impossible to function and succeed in existing high school programs. Without the necessary program modifications and social skill training, their future has been uncertain.
Orion Academy offers these students an academic curriculum that is challenging and structured, rich in its academic offerings and uniquely tailored to the strengths and needs of our students.

We asked parents of Orion students to give us comments on their experience at Orion Academy. Here is what one parent said:
| Our son started at Orion this year as a Sophomore. We are amazed at the how much he has matured and grown in only one year. The faculty and staff at Orion really "get" our kids, which is a huge relief for both the student and the parents. We believe that sending our son to Orion was one of the best decisions we have made - - both for his current sense of well-being, and for his future. - Carole |

We want to thank the MORAGA JUNIOR WOMENS CLUB for their $5700.00 donation to our Annual Appeal Fund Drive. The community support in Moraga is one of the reasons this is a great area to have a school. Thank you!
The Orion Academy is pleased to announce the gift of $25,000.00 from the Laura and Walter Hudson Foundation in honor of Martha Iversen. This unexpected and most generous gift will purchase a new van for the school.
