The price includes all three days offered, but you can choose not to use every day.

The limit is 12 students for this program. If fewer than six students join, your fee will be refunded.

Advance registration is required; please use the form linked below.

3D Game Design

Get ready to take part in the development of your own virtual world. The 3D modeling and game design class offers students the opportunity to create their own game maps by building new environments and scripting character actions through the use of the Unreal 3 game engine. Unreal 3 is an industry-leading game engine and has been used for popular games like Batman: Arkham Asylum and Gears of War. As your student develops their own levels they will gain an understanding of architecture design and programming – valuable skills to have when trying to break into the gaming industry.

Participants will receive the materials necessary to take the class and continue their own game development at home.

Lessons include directions and practice of:

  • Interior level design
  • Terrain creation and height maps
  • Kismet and matinee animation
  • Texturing modeling and importing

Software used: Unreal Editor 3 / Adobe Photoshop / Autodesk Maya
